PRIVATE GROUP WORKSHOPS
Group workshops are a lot of fun, and are a great way to connect with each other. The messy challenge of working with clay is especially well suited for this.
Our group workshops are based on our successful Taster Class concept. In a few hours you will learn to make something usable from clay, that will get glazed and fired into a functional ceramic object. There is no need to have any prior knowledge about clay or ceramics.
We usually offer these workshops at our Amstel location (H.J.E. Wenckebachweg 53P - 1096 AK Amsterdam) The Amstel location is perfect for large groups and has that relaxed Pansa learning atmosphere. For bigger groups we have the option to use both locations.
Option 1
Group size: up to 8 people
Time: 2 hours (depending on techniques taught)

- Handbuilding private workshop
A 2 hour workshop that focuses on hand building (creating something out of clay with your hands as your main tools).
Incl. clay and use of materials + we glaze and fire one piece of work per person if you want to keep something.
- Wheel throwing private workshop
This is a workshop that focuses on wheel throwing. Be aware that the wheel normally takes at least 3 to 4 lessons to master, so this is just an introduction (but still fun!).

Option 2
Group size: up to 16 people (minimum 10)
Time: 3,5 hours (depending on techniques taught)
Earliest availability: in 2-3 weeks from request
- Pansa experience private workshop
A 3,5 hour workshop that focuses on hand building + an introduction to the wheel.
During this class the group will be split in two. You'll be making a mug or personal object by using hand building techniques and you will have a go on the pottery wheel.
Halfway through the workshop you change to the other teacher and focus on a new technique.
In the handbuilding session, you will be making one item that will be glazed and fired for you. On the potters' wheel you will learn how to centre and pull up your first shapes. You won't be keeping anything from these first attempts on the wheel, but you will have a great taste for a future course. At the end of the workshop you can choose your glaze for your hand-built piece. It will be glazed and fired by us, and ready for you to pick up after about 3 weeks.
Price: €850,- (Incl. VAT/BTW) for 10 people. For every extra participant it's €85,- (Incl. VAT/BTW)
Option 3
- Pansa custom workshop
Pricing for these workshops are also custom and depend on the kind of workshop and services required. With a large group we can use both Studio Pansa locations.
Group size: up to 48 people and/or custom groups
Time: 3,5 hours or to be determined (depending on techniques taught and size of the group)
Earliest availability: 1 month or more
Invoicing
After confirming the date and time we ask for a deposit of 50 % of the full invoice.
The rest of the amount needs to be transferred at least 7 days before the workshop.
If you or your company take more than 1 week to process invoices, we request a deposit of 100% when we have agreed on a date.
Our Cancellation Policy also applies to private workshops.
