Allround ceramics for INTERMEDIATES

ATTENTION: This course is only for people who have already done an allround course for beginners at Studio Pansa.

This full course will focus on handbuilding techniques and a part on throwing on the wheel.

After you have finished your first allround course a Studio Pansa, you might still want to continue making, but don’t feel confident enough yet to start as a member. That is why we have, due to high demand, designed this Intermediate allround ceramics course. Fully shaped for you to continue your practice in ceramics.

The handbuilding part of this course is a perfect continuation on the skills you learn during the beginners course. If you already have sufficient handbuilding experience, this course can be a beautiful opportunity for you to explore more techniques and approaches under the guidance of a teacher. You can start with more complex shapes.

In the throwing part, you will continue with centering, pulling up, shaping and trimming. Also some new techniques will be added. You will be working on your own project during this course with guidance and support from your teacher. But remember: This is not a specialised throwing course. If you only want to focus on wheel throwing, we advise you to sign up for a wheel throwing course.

You will have enough moments is this course to reflect with your teacher and through the feedback of your fellow students you will be able to progress quickly.

In this course you will of course also glaze your own pieces and we will fire them for you after glazing. A maximum of 6 pieces can be fired and glazed during this course. The main focus in a course is on techniques, the process and practicing instead of producing. If you wish to make more, please consider a membership during or after this course.

After this course, for those who feel confident and wish to continue by making and experimenting by themselves, you can sign up for a membership at Pansa. You might already be able to start with this during the course. We will guide you in these steps. Many of our former students became makers and now use the studio as full time members.

Note: You can NOT sign up for this course if you are a total novice to ceramics.

Please ensure you are able to attend as many of the scheduled course dates as possible before you sign up. The courses are usually full, so we can’t move people between them.

For dates, please subscribe to our newsletter and keep an eye on the webshop.
